9 Raleigh Insta-Worthy Spots

Raleigh is such a up and coming area with a TON of places to capture the perfect shot for your next photoshoot. I've rounded up 9 spots around town I think are perfect for your next Insta-Worthy photo! OR maybe go-to for your next day tip with your gals or sweetie - Perfect!

1. Dix Park: Back in October Jon and I went here for a picnic/photoshoot for a blog post I was planning, however, we drove all around and never could find where the 'view' was that we'd seen everyone posting about. It is actually really easy to find!

- Tip: If you are coming from Western Blvd turn onto Hunt Dr and keep going all the way to the end of the stop sign. At the stop sign turn right onto Umstead Rd and drive pass the little white house. Look back and you will see the whole skyline of Raleigh - Perfect!

The nice thing about Dix Park is that they are always having events in the fields and every year plant different flowers to enjoy. Last year they planted thousands of sunflowers in a field! (See below) This year they planted daffodils in the park.

2. PNC Building - Fayetteville Street: I love a good city-chic picture and taking some on Fayetteville street in downtown will give you the feeling of being in a larger city than Raleigh (at least in my opinion). It all depends on the angles you get while taking pics.

Tip: Stand in front of the state capital building and take a picture down Fayetteville Street towards the performing arts center. If you angle it you can get the entire PNC building in it (see second pic below)!

3. Warehouse District: This is the most up and coming area in Raleigh right now and I may be biased by saying it, but my FAVE place to take my Insta pics! You can find many little hidden spots and I love the feeling of the old with the new. There are many shops and restaurants in the area to explore and a fun area to spend the day!

4. Union Station: This is right across from The Dillon apartments in Downtown and part of the Warehouse District. They newly reconstructed some parts of the station and I am a little in-love with the architecture you can find. It is a nice place to sit outside and enjoy!

Tip: If you stand facing the station with The Dillon behind you all the way to the right you can get the PNC building behind you (see 4th pic below).

5. The Dillon: This is also part of the Warehouse District and another one of my favorite places to take pics. You can find great views of downtown if you go to the ninth floor.

Tip: The ninth floor is only open to the public during the week and you must be a resident to access the ninth floor on the weekends - If you go to the 8th floor parking you can still see the views! You do have to pay to park at The Dillon and it is about $2.00 a hour.

6. Glenwood Ave: Glendwood Ave is known for the nightlife, but during the day it is a nice to walk around and check out the restaurants and bars. There are many wall murals throughout Raleigh, but one of my favorites is the cat mural at C.Grace. It covers the entire building!

7. Boylan Bridge: I newly found this when I was driving over the Boylan Bridge the other day and noticed the view of downtown Raleigh. It is walking distance to the The Dillon and you can easily park at The Dillon parking and walk if you can't find on-street parking. The bridge is next to Boylan Bridge Brewpub where you can look out over the view of downtown and Union Station.

8. Lafayette Village: You will feel like you are in Paris at Lafayette Village. I love visiting all the little shops that are here and getting a coffee at Jubala - So good! (Try the vanilla latte if you go.) Here you will find a floral mural and a spiral staircase.

9. North Hills: Another fun place to take a day-trip to and walk around. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars you can go and when the weather is nice out it is a nice place to sit outside at the rooftop bar at Level 7. There are also wall murals and cool architecture to take pics.

I hope to see some of these spots on your next photoshoot. : ) Where are some spots you've taken a pic! i'd love to find new places to explore. Comment below!
