Going bananas! { Say YES to prints. }

Hey there!

I debated about posting this dress only because it is the opposite of what I normally would wear. But thought - isn't fashion about trying new things? Which gave me the idea of the topic - prints.

As women, we are often afraid to step out of our "norm" and try something new. We always think that it won't look good or feel we can't "pull the look off." I know that being short not all things are gonna look the best on, but that doesn't mean we (short girls) can't still wear them.

My advice is to find prints that work best proportionally for your body type. Prints that are too large and overwhelming can make shorter girls appear shorter. If a print is large go for a shorter dress (above the knee) to even out the look. I also pair prints with a solid piece (usually black) to tone down the amount of print.

Another way is to wear one basic piece (jeans, leggings, cardigan, jacket) with the printed item. Here I paired this dress with one of my favorite jean jackets. Then I added complementary accessories with gold accents.

For someone who is wanting to update their wardrobe by adding a mix of prints, keep it simple at first and go for classic prints that can take you season to season. Prints shouldn't be overwhelming, but go ahead and step out of your comfort zone and give it a try!

How do you guys wear prints? Do you like to mix and match or keep it simple? Comment and let me know!
