Hey there! Can you all believe it is now September?! I mean we can (almost) basically say it’s fall, right?? Summer to me really seemed to fly by SO fast, if there really was much of a summer (to me). But besides that we have so much to look forward to this coming fall - even if things are still closed and nowhere to go; we can still look forward to the fashion! Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year because of the fashion and I LOVE that I get to dress in layers. I’ll even layer in the summer even if it’s hot out (I'm crazy) because I love that fall layered look so much.
Plus, we also have the crisp fall days, leaves changing and lots of pumpkin everything to look forward to (Am I right?!). I can NOT wait until there is a chill in the air! Side note: I will be doing lots of s’mores this fall with my parents on their property! AND let’s not mention fall is close to the start of the holiday season. But before I get way off topic-- here are my 7 must-have‘s for this fall season you don't want to miss out on:
I am loving all the bootie trends for fall this year! Stud details and western vibes - I am in love with it. Love a good bootie with details to add a little something extra to a chic legging look! All these styles would be really cute paired with a dress, worn casually with leggings or styled with your favorite boyfriend jeans. Look here for some inspo.
Add a good staple cardigan (or maybe a few) to your closet for fall is a definite must! Cardigans are a good way to layer in the fall when the weather doesn‘t know what it wants to do. The trends that I see trending this fall are cardigans with details like - puffy sleeves, wrap cardigans that tie in the front and circle cardigans with drop shoulders. Perfect to transition from summer/fall and fall/winter - styled oversized with a belt or layered over a cute cami. Like this one.
You know it’s fall when plaid is all around us, but to be honest I’m not a big fan of it. I do think plaid and houndstooth will always be a dominate fall look, but this year I have noticed oversized florals and zebra prints in the mix. I feel animal print has been an ongoing trend for the past couple of seasons. I do love mixing small amounts of it into a look! Like this look.

This color will be everywhere this fall. This instantly reminds me of all things pumpkins and of course all things fall. I love it in a color blocked sweater with neutral colors. Cute styled with jeans and booties for fall. Or maybe even dressed up as a holiday dress for Thanksgiving?

2 piece sets were very popular during quarantine and I think they’re going to continue to be popular during fall. Especially since most things are still virtual and we continue to stay home and work from home. These two piece sets are both cute and cozy!
