Hey there!

Sharing a quick day trip to Durham from last weekend Jon and I did. One of my favorite places to visit close to home and is only a 30 minute drive away! Durham is very much up and coming as Raleigh is and has so much to offer to see and do around the area.

One of my favorite places to visit is the historic tobacco campus that is located right next to the ballpark. Here you can see the water tower and there are many restaurants you can sit outside to listen to the waterfalls. It is a nice area to stroll around and take pictures. (I’ve taken so many here. Hehe.) Side note: If you go on top of the underground parking garage you can see the entire area! (It looks really cool lit up at night with the bull sign.)

Durham offers a lot of great wall art to see. It is SO fun to notice new wall murals popping up all over the city whenever I visit. My favorite is the art all over the underground parking garage at the Unscripted hotel. However, If you like the outdoors you can also go to the Sarah P. gardens by the Duke campus to see beatutiful themed gardens. I like the Japanese garden with the red bridge!

There are also many places to grab a drink after dinner. I recommend 21c, the Durham Hotel (best rooftop) and the Unscripted Hotel. Not only does the Unscripted have wall art, but the decor is pretty to look at with it’s mid-century mod look. I LOVE this place! The bar on the rooftop is open to the public and there you can grab a drink and enjoy the pool while looking at the Durham skyline.

21c also has a art museum you can tour and a underground vault! A great place to sit and enjoy a cocktail. 🖤 - LOVE!

Today, I am sharing three ways I styled my reversible blanket scarf. I am obsessed with how versatile it is for the upcoming fall season! The perfect go-to piece to layer any outfit. Wear it dressy or casually depending on the mood.

My first look I wore it with a jean skirt and a white tee underneath. I wrapped it around and belted it to give the appearance of wearing it as a dress. I absolutely LOVE this look! So adorable paired with statement booties and I think it makes it the right amount of dressy. (I love how it was long enough for me to wear as a dress!)

Another way to wear it, is to wear it as a big shawl and let it hang over your shoulders. This is a nice way to add a pop of excitement to a basic look. A great layering addition for those cool fall mornings and nights because you can take it off during the day when it is warmer.

My final look is to wear it as a scarf and wrap it around the neck. There are so many ways to tie a scarf around the neck. Here I just wrapped it once and let the remaining fall in the front and back.

I hope you find inspiration in coming up with different ways to wear a scarf (blanket scarf). It is so fun to be creative with fashion! Let me know how you style a scarf? Comment below or in my last insta pic.
