On the blog tonight: Sharing a few packing tips I’ve learned that are helpful for a long weekend or vacation trip!
I’m the WORST packer ever. (I’m sure a lot of you can agree.) But when I was a traveling sales rep I had to learn how to pack lighter when I didn’t have a whole lot of space in my car because most of it was taken up by my clothing samples. (It was a crazy time. 🤦🏽♀️)
A few things I learned was that if you don’t wear it daily then you don’t need to bring it. You really only need to bring the necessary things, plus maybe a few staple pieces that can be mixed and matched. (I know it is easier said then done.) BUT you’d be surprised how many different ways you can style a few pieces of clothing.
A couple pieces that I would always bring are easy polyester dresses (they never wrinkle) that you can accessorize. A jacket (leather or jean) that can be layered over a dress or pants outfit. A pair of pants (jeans, linen, and dress pant) or shorts and maybe a couple shirts. I am big about layering outfits because it is easy to add and remove depending on temperatures. Rompers and jumpsuits make for a good packing staple too. You can dress them up or casual them down.
I’ll link a few pieces below that I recommend.
One thing I would always use to pack my clothes in are packing cubes. They are easy to organize all your clothes and keep them neat. I like to organize my clothes by occasions and that way I don’t over pack and you can easily fit them into a duffel. Try rolling your pieces - this helps with wrinkling and lessens bulk!
A good portable battery is a must when traveling. I use these literally daily because I am constantly on my phone and when you don’t have a outlet it is convenient.
Jewelry organizer is a must-have for traveling! I love mine because you can separate it all and they won’t get tangled together.
I added a boutique below full of my fave travel accessories. What are some tips or things you bring to travel? Comment below!
