Hi There! Sharing 10 things you probably don’t know about me: 1. For most of my life I have lived here in Raleigh, but I was born in Albany, NY! My parents met in New York. My mom is from there and my dad is from SD (polar opposites) and both were relocated from their jobs down to NC when I was a baby (3) and I have never moved since. I LOVE it here and really have never thought of moving anywhere else... except maybe NYC. (I am such a homebody.)
2. Before falling in love with fashion my dream was to become a ballerina. For most of my childhood and teenage years I took ballet and pointe classes and had dreams of performing in the NYC ballet one day. I absolutely loved ballet and I still admire the beauty of the art. Taking all those years of ballet has taught me to be disciplined today as a person.
3. I don’t like ice cream. I know, I know this one sounds crazy! I am a hug chocolate lover - paired with wine of course! 🖤 However, I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to trying new foods from other cultures. I’ll try anything as long as it isn’t guts or bugs. (Maybe I’m not that adventurous. Haha)
4. My absolute favorite food is definitely Italian! I may be biased when I say this because I am Italian, BUT I enjoy making homemade pasta and sauce with my mom and learning how to cook from old recipes handed down from my great grandparents. We have a recipe book that is almost 100 years old full of recipes from them! Every time I look through it it makes me feel a little bit closer to my heritage.
5. My favorite thing to do in my spare time is to be creative. I just find so much joy into putting collages, flat lays and outfits together... this may not be a shocker, but I really do enjoy it!
6. I love to travel! Growing up my parents would take us all over the US (Been to almost all of the 50 states). We would go camping, fishing and mainly be outdoors for most of our summers. I am a girly girl with a city mindset, but I really do enjoy nature and getting my hands dirty. I’m kind of a southern girl at heart. My favorite place to visit growing up was definitely the Midwest. It is unbelievably beautiful there and so much history!
7. My favorite designer brand is by far Gucci. I love the creation behind the brand and it is truly inspiring how the brand was developed from rages to riches. (Of course it would be a Italian brand.)
8. I have a miniature poodle named Mia. You will see here occasionally on my insta from time to time. She loves to be the center of attention and I love it! Hehe. She IS the definition of Spoiled.
9. A hidden talent I have is that I can sew - thanks mom! Although, I have zero patience when it comes to actually doing it. I actually can create a pattern from scratch and sew it together.
10. My fav thing to say is “Don’t ever settle for less than you deserve.” I tell myself this all the time.
